How it works

Once your order has been placed, please send a clear photograph of the person you’d like to have recreated.

Your photograph will be used to create a bespoke fabric interpretation, with colours, patterns and textures thoughtfully selected to reflect the original image.

As every portrait is individually designed and handmade, your finished piece will have its own subtle variations all part of the charm and character of Kinusaiga art.

Optional sentimental clothing add-on

For an especially personal touch, you can choose to have fabric from your loved one’s clothing incorporated into their portrait.

This could be a treasured baby grow, a favourite outfit, a special item of clothing or another meaningful piece of fabric.

Where suitable, these fabrics can be incorporated into the clothing or background of your portrait, making your finished artwork even more personal.

This is a particularly lovely way to preserve those tiny baby clothes that hold so many precious memories, transforming them into a keepsake that can be displayed and enjoyed for years to come.

After ordering, I’ll contact you with guidance on sending your chosen materials. Please do not send any clothing until you have received these instructions.

Please note

Kinusaiga portraits are artistic fabric interpretations rather than exact photographic reproductions. Each portrait is simplified into individual fabric sections while aiming to capture the character and personality of the original photograph.

Colours, patterns and textures may vary slightly depending on fabric availability, but every piece will be thoughtfully designed and made with care.

If choosing to incorporate sentimental clothing, please be aware that not all fabrics may be suitable for Kinusaiga. I can discuss the options with you before creating your portrait.

As this is a bespoke, handmade product, please allow approximately two weeks for dispatch after all photographs and required materials have been received.

Studio-Selected Fabrics — Your portrait will be created using carefully selected fabrics to complement the colours, clothing and details in your chosen photograph.

Include Sentimental Clothing — Incorporate a meaningful piece of clothing or fabric into your portrait, such as a baby grow, favourite outfit or another treasured item, creating an extra-special keepsake.
